SEATTLE - On June 20, 2023 The Seattle City Council blog released information regarding a resolution passed to increase wages for human service workers in District 1 - West Seattle and South Park. The article states that council members found that Human service workers are disproportionately BIPOC women and wages have stagnated due to discriminatory practices.
